5 sprigs basil

⅔ cup arugula

½ bunch parsley

1 garlic clove

2 ounces Parmesan

5 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon roasted pine nuts

Salt, to taste

2 pounds prepared gnocchi


  1. Coarsely chop basil, arugula, and parsley.
  2. Peel and chop the garlic.
  3. Cut Parmesan into chunks.
  4. Add basil, arugula, parsley, garlic, parmesan, olive oil, and pine nuts to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions and mix well with the pesto. Serve immediately.
